Where are we?
The parish church of All Saints is in the centre of the market town of Evesham. It is part of the town’s historic Evesham Abbey site. The Abbey was a centre of pilgrimage and prayer founded during the 8th century but was dismantled during the Reformation. All Saints and it’s sister church, St Lawrence stood within the walls of the monastic precinct. Today St Lawrence is no longer used for worship and is cared for by the Churches Conservation Trust but All Saints continues to be a place of prayer and gathering where faith is nurtured and life events are celebrated and commemorated. The Church building is open every day for you to come in and say a prayer or spend some time in contemplation. But aside from a building the Church is really made up of the people who gather there, the congregation.
Who are we?
We are a welcoming and inclusive congregation from a wide range of backgrounds and faith traditions.
Our diversity makes our journey together in faith creative and stimulating. We recently completed a consultation together to think about what we believe and what is our purpose. This has resulted in a statement of purpose and mission.
Our Mission statement can be downloaded here and the Mission plan can be downloaded here
People engage with us in many different ways, according to preference and temperament. So if you think you might have a God sized hole that needs filling come along to one of our services whether you are someone who likes action and wants to get involved or someone who prefers meditation and quiet personal space, you will find a welcome here.
You might not like a God sized hole? – just trying to express that sometimes we don’t know why we are drawn into faith..
When do we meet?
Our main Sunday worship is at 10.00 am, but we offer other services as we understand that people have different preferences for worship.
